- 1 cup water
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- cinnamon stick
- 2 tbsp vanilla extract
Ingredients for Peach Cobbler Old Fashioned Cocktail:
- 1.5 oz Peach Cobbler Syrup (instructions below)
- 3 oz Two Bitch™ Bourbon (Eureka Gold™ or Small Batch With Bite™ work perfectly)
- a few dashes of black walnut bitters (available at liquor stores and Amazon)
- large sugar crystals, peach slice and/or biscuit for garnish
Instructions:
-
Make the Peach Cobbler Syrup:
- In a saucepan, combine fresh or frozen peaches (sliced), 1 cup water, brown sugar, maple syrup, and cinnamon stick.
- Cook over medium heat until the peaches are soft and syrupy, about 20 minutes.
- Remove from heat, add vanilla extract, and let cool.
- Strain the syrup into a jar, discarding the solids, and refrigerate.
-
Build the Cocktail:
- dip side of cocktail glass in some of the syrup and roll in sugar.
- Add Two Bitch™ Bourbon to a rocks glass with ice square (or to a mixing glass with ice, if you prefer to stir and strain).
- Pour in Peach Cobbler Syrup and add black walnut bitters.
- Stir well to combine, letting the syrup infuse with the bourbon and bitters.
-
Garnish:
- in addition to the sugar rolled glass, add a slice of peach for garnish, and/or add a small biscuit on a cocktail skewer.
