Peach Cobbler Old Fashioned Recipe

Ingredients for Peach Cobbler Syrup:

  • 1 cup sliced frozen or fresh peaches
  • 1 cup water
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • cinnamon stick
  • 2 tbsp vanilla extract

Instructions:

  1. Make the Peach Cobbler Syrup:
    • In a saucepan, combine fresh or frozen peaches (sliced), 1 cup water, brown sugarmaple syrup, and cinnamon stick.
    • Cook over medium heat until the peaches are soft and syrupy, about 20 minutes.
    • Remove from heat, add vanilla extract, and let cool.
    • Strain the syrup into a jar, discarding the solids, and refrigerate.
  2. Build the Cocktail:
    • dip side of cocktail glass in some of the syrup and roll in sugar.
    • Add Two Bitch Bourbon to a rocks glass with ice square (or to a mixing glass with ice, if you prefer to stir and strain).
    • Pour in Peach Cobbler Syrup and add black walnut bitters.
    • Stir well to combine, letting the syrup infuse with the bourbon and bitters.
  3. Garnish:
    • in addition to the sugar rolled glass, add a slice of peach for garnish, and/or add a small biscuit on a cocktail skewer.
