Double Dog Pear

A lovely pear tree adorns the Two Bitch™ Bourbon headquarters. It’s a beautiful sight to see when it is fruiting in the fall and usually has 3 to 4 deer underneath it getting their greedy fill of this delicacy. Here we have ‘peared’ this sweet fruit with holiday spice and Two Bitch™ cheer. Perfect for Thanksgiving and other holiday gatherings. This cocktail is sure to thrill your dinner guests!
INGREDIENTS
- 2 oz Two Bitch™ Bourbon
- 2 oz Bosc Pear Syrup*
- 1 oz lemon juice
- 1 pinch pumpkin pie spice
- cinnamon stick
- 1 tsp each pumpkin pie spice & sugar mixed
DIRECTIONS
- Coat the rim of a chilled rocks glass with pumpkin pie spice and sugar mixture.
- To a shaker add ice, bourbon, pear syrup, lemon juice and pumpkin pie spice.
- Shake to frost.
- Strain into rocks glass over ice. Garnish with cinnamon stick and serve.
*Bosc Pear Syrup:
Chop 1 Bosc pear. Add to 1 cup sugar and 1 cinnamon stick in 2 cups of boiling water. Simmer for 20 minutes. Mash pear mixture then strain through fine mesh to reserve pear syrup. Let cool.
